zoeI have definitely not written anything since christmas day, and that is way too long. Chalk it up to vacation-laziness, Ruth paying a visit, and the normal beginning-of-winter-study insanity. Christmas was awesome, and it was a huge relief to not be sick anymore. I was feeling weirdly antisocial for most of the time that I was home, so I ended up spending most of my time hanging around the house reading, or going to Starbucks with Steph and mom. I certainly did not want for reading material, what with books about John Snow/cholera, Tibet, math, and neuroscience/epistemology.

Day after New Year’s, Ruth and I packed our stuff and struck off towards Williamstown, traveling by bus to South Station in Boston and then schlepping to Quincy Market for some eats and finally to North Station to catch the motor coach. Since I’ve been back it’s been unpacking, playing with LEGOs (more on that later, I promise), buying my ski pass (eeee skiing!!), rediscovering why I love Williams, and hanging out with the GQ boyz, the Short n’ Suite, assorted entrymates, and the men of Garfield house, second floor. Huzzah!

A more serious post is in the works for later tonight, so stay tuned! Oh, and I finished my JA application at probably the last minute possible, after much agonizing and stress…but it’s done!

By the way, the unseasonally warm weather that we’re having here in the northeast probably has nothing to do with global warming.
